The engineers behind the Wagoneer made power and efficiency a priority for the 2024 variant. In 2023, the waters were tested for a twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, making it standard equipment for the Series II, Carbide Edition, and Series III trim levels, while the original 5.7L V8 engine remained standard for the entry-level trim. The twin-turbo engine, named Hurricane 6, completely replaces the larger naturally aspirated engine across the entire 2024 Wagoneer lineup. The Hurricane 6 engine delivers an impressive 468 lb-ft of torque along with 420 horsepower. While providing more power than the larger engine it replaces, the twin-turbo engine also runs more efficiently, offering better fuel economy and driving range. When the Wagoneer is equipped with a trailer tow package, it offers drivers a 10,000-pound towing capacity, plenty of capability for campers, small boats, and much more! The twin-turbo engine sends power to the rear wheels with a sturdy TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, three renowned 4x4 systems – Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II – are available.

Meanwhile, other high-tech features include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, Alpine premium audio with ten speakers, and a wide selection of high-tech driver assistance technologies.

The available Wagoneer L model was introduced to the Wagoneer lineup in 2023, making it noticeably larger than the traditional Wagoneer both inside and outside. The Wagoneer L stretches the wheelbase by seven inches, bringing the space between the front and rear wheels to 130 inches. This was designed to make way for an astonishing twelve inches to be added to the overall length, making the Wagoneer L 226.7 inches long. While the increase in size is clearly visible just by looking at the Wagoneer, it can be felt inside. The most noticeable attribute that the Wagoneer L provides is the rear overhang that creates a best-in-class cargo volume of 44.2 cubic feet behind the third row. Meanwhile, the Wagoneer L offers a total cargo volume of 130.9  cubic feet, raised from the regular Wagoneer's 116.7 cubic feet.
